For that special race night, we have available our new computer betting system developed exclusively for Racenight UK. We've recently continued development of this system, which now includes touch screens for fast bet-taking and the ability to handle 'place' and 'each-way' bets, for added entertainment and excitement at your race night event.
Instead of rolls of numbered tickets, each bet is entered on to our computer system and an individual betting slip is instantly printed out. This betting slip has the names of the chosen horses, the amount staked on each horse and a unique identity number for security.
Although the payout is still at 'starting price' - determined when all bets have been placed, the computer calculates and displays the changing odds as a guide to the likely payouts on each runner. These odds can be displayed on screens near the tote table or on the main screen.
Payout is fast and accurate. Each betting slip has a barcode which is scanned, and the payout due is instantly displayed. Payouts on invalid or non-winning betting slips cannot be made and a payout cannot be made twice on the same betting slip. This ensures that human error cannot cause incorrect payouts.
