The sound system needs to be quite powerful as race nights are noisy events. What is adequate
for a room full of people listening to a presentation may not be enough. The speaker built into the projector is certainly unsuitable.
If the projector is currently connected to a laptop or DVD player, you can't just slot a video player in. A laptop will be connected with a completely different cable. The DVD player may have the right cable but this cable will not connect directly to a video player. You will probably need an adaptor for the video player's SCART socket.
If the projector is on a stand in front of the screen, it will need to be about 10-feet away depending on the size of the screen. Make sure there is plenty of clear space in front of it and no-one is going to knock it over.
Cover or tape down cables that are running along the floor.
